Mga Ano Kaya, a 2D paperless animated short film by CONSISTONSEE Productions, composed of iACADEMY Animation students Elisha Ezra Pineda, Miccaella Del Rosario, and Dianne Princess Nayon, has been officially selected for the Accussì – Festival per gli Occhi – Terza Edizione.
Accussì – Festival for the Eyes is a festival that celebrates various forms of performing arts, with a focus on short films that highlight the beauty and cultural significance of local territories, including villages and communities.
The animated short film follows Marie, a downtrodden young woman who has given up on her dream of becoming an architect. When she reunites with a successful old friend, their conversation prompts her to reflect on her life choices and the path her life has taken. Through Marie’s story, Mga Ano Kaya explores themes of ambition, missed opportunities, and the challenges that shape one’s future. The film also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, highlighting the importance of access to quality education and the opportunities it creates for individuals to pursue their aspirations.
This international recognition reflects iACADEMY’s commitment to nurturing future-ready creatives whose work can reach audiences beyond the classroom. Through industry-standard facilities, professional-grade equipment and software, and guidance from industry practitioners, students are empowered to transform their ideas into meaningful creative works.
The selection of Mga Ano Kaya at Accussì – Festival per gli Occhi – Terza Edizione marks another milestone for iACADEMY’s Animation students, showcasing the storytelling abilities, artistic vision, and creative potential of the next generation of Filipino animators on the international stage.
